            Sarah Wilson is a Senior Lecturer and Course Lead for the Foundation Degree Nursing Associate (FDNA) programme at the ºüÀêÊÓÆµ of Worcester. With a professional background in adult nursing, health visiting, and clinical education, Sarah brings a wealth of experience and passion to her teaching and leadership roles.
Her specialist teaching areas include child development, safeguarding, postnatal mental health, community nursing, and infant feeding. She is also deeply involved in supporting nursing students in practice, apprenticeships, and end-point assessment, with a strong commitment to academic integrity and inclusive learning.
Sarah’s teaching philosophy centres on creating inclusive, practice-informed learning environments that empower students through innovation, reflection, and collaboration. She believes in using experiential and digital learning tools to enhance clinical confidence and professional growth.
Her research interests focus on enhancing the student experience in nursing programmes, digital learning and simulation, and the integration of the Nursing Associate role within clinical teams. Sarah has been engaged in a number of innovative projects such as the use of virtual reality in pharmacology education, in collaboration with the ºüÀêÊÓÆµ of Manchester and Innovate UK.
Sarah holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education and is a Fellow of Advance HE, working towards Senior Fellowship. She is a registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visiting), Supplementary Prescriber and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.
Sarah is also an External Examiner for Glasgow Caledonian ºüÀêÊÓÆµ and actively contributes to the development of pre and post registration nursing education nationally.
